With each passing day, the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak rages across the country and the number of new cases grows exponentially. We simply cannot afford to delay in getting aid to China as the situation continues to deteriorate. Currently, there are almost 10,000 new confirmed cases of the disease in China, and the death toll has risen to 213. Doctors, nurses, and support staff have been working tirelessly to the point of exhaustion to treat the many thousands of sick patients that threaten to overwhelm the hospital systems. Many critical medical supplies, including masks that are critical in slowing the spread of the disease, are running low or near impossible to obtain. In this time, we are asking for your donations to help us get much-needed supplies to where they are needed the most. We are a 501c charity organization in the United States and are subject to the regulations of the federal government. However, we are unique in that we will be able to deliver the goods purchased using your generous donations directly to the doctors and staff of the affected hospitals, bypassing the Chinese government agencies and the Red Cross Society of China. That way, we are able to make a direct impact.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for a service trip to the Hanfeng School this July 1st - July 7th. Each volunteer will bring up to one suitcase of books to the school. The volunteer will stay in the school students with for a week. During this period, volunteers will teach students English, build up and sort the school library, help students who need additional academic support, and act as mentors to help students make long-term and short-term plans. We believe that for most of our volunteers, this experience will provide an invaluable opportunity to learn through giving back to a community in need.
"Book with Love" used book donation program is the first initiative by Dadao Foundation. Our aim is to collect and distribute books to economically disadvantaged students through our connection with the "Hanfeng School", a remote rural school in Shanxi, China. The school serves 137 students from grade 1 to grade 9. Of these students, 72 face significant learning barriers, 45 students come from low-income families, 24 students live with a single-parent and 2 students are orphans, The Hanfeng School is in real need of books and other materials that will help to develop students' English literacy. Recognizing that books can open doors to greater opportunities for students, it is our goal to leverage the resources that we have to help these students gain access to the books they needs.
